Good stuff here Todd - very helpful for the small biz owner to understand how the industry works. Its much like any other developing industry - there is increasing specialization. The SEO guys are doing SEO, the lead aggregators are playing the middleman / distributor role, and the contractors are installing the windows. A few years ago many smaller home improvement contractors who were ahead of the curve could spend some time and money on SEO and see very good results, but now with the level of specialization and amount of money in the sector that is a pretty tough task. Why not focus on what one does best though?
